Alanya University Quality Coordination Office participated in the program named "Quality Assurance System Experience Sharing Workshop 2 in Universities".
Gazi University Rector Prof. attended the program held in the Rectorate Mimar Kemaleddin Hall. Dr. Uğur Ünal, President of the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, rectors, deans, directors, YÖKAK academic experts, quality coordinators, department heads, academicians and guests attended.
The opening speech of the program, which included more than 200 participants from 60 different universities, was made by Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal did it. Rector Prof. pointed out that our common goal is to increase the quality of higher education. Dr. Uğur Ünal said, “Accreditation is a process that shows that an educational institution meets certain standards and quality criteria. "Our fully accredited universities are institutions that have been successful in this process and have achieved high quality standards," he said.
Speaking at the opening, YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak gave information that there are currently 208 higher education institutions in our country. Noting that 65 percent of these universities were established in the last 23 years, YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak stated that we have a university in almost every province.
YÖKAK President Prof. informed that the total number of academic staff in our country is around 183 thousand. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak noted that the world is changing very quickly and we are living in a different world as of 2021. YÖKAK President Prof. also stated that there are around 350 thousand foreign students in our country. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak concluded his words by stating that they will evaluate the workshop outcomes at YÖKAK.

Ali Haydar Doğu, TED University Quality Coordinator Büşra Ertong, Istanbul University Quality Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Feray Küçükbaş Duman, Akdeniz University Quality Coordinator Lecturer. See. Dr. Cem Sakarya, Selçuk University Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Gülşin Arslan, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Quality Coordinator Prof.Dr. Özlem Faiz and Gazi University Quality Coordinator Prof.Dr. Gürcü Koç shared his experiences regarding the quality assurance system studies at his fully accredited universities.
Then the Workshop; It continued with group work and a question-answer session on the topics of leadership, governance and quality, research and development, education and training, and social contribution.
