"Higher Education Quality Commissions Training Meeting" was organized by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK).
The training meeting prepared for the quality commissions of higher education institutions was held online on 24-25 January 2024.
Making the opening speech of the meetings, YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak stated that they organized the first training program of the year. President Prof. stated that they want to continue the meetings in the form of question-answer sessions every Wednesday during the "Institution Internal Evaluation Report (IDR)" process that higher education institutions must prepare each year for the previous year. Dr. Kocabıçak expressed his hope that the training would be productive for the staff working in quality commissions.
YÖKAK Board Member and Chairman of the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Commission Prof. Dr. Feyza Arıcıoğlu also gave information about the training process at the meetings.
Following the opening speeches, participants were informed about topics such as YÖKAK's activities, legislation and guideline changes, evaluation programs, criteria, frequently encountered problems in KIDR, 2024 evaluation programs calendar, and the importance of continuity in practices.
The meetings also included “Internal Quality Assurance? Detailed information was given to the participants under the headings "KIDR Writing?", "What is evidence?", "KIDR Preparation Guide 3.2 Introduction", "Quality Assurance Management Information System (QGYBS) Introduction". The meetings ended with the answers to various questions sent to YÖKAK via e-mail from the quality commissions and the questions of the participants.
The training meeting in question was attended by the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Mesut Güner, Quality Coordinator Özgür Arslan, Strategy Development Manager Dr. Ümran Demir and Correspondence Office Director Merve Sipahioğlu attended.
